So I’ve spent the last few hours clearing out my Tumblr faves. Most of which are YT vids/gifs from things/things I also reblogged/pics already on my desktop.
I had almost 7,000. 7,000 That’s a LOT.
Now I’m down to almost 4,000.
I think that’ll do for today
So, my 1st New Years on Tumblr. Lets see if I can get this mind to recall a full year and see what I did…
Art:
-I did some drawings and writings up till about Aug (not counting schoolwork) and then didn’t get back to art till about 2 days ago
-I finished my longest animation to date
-I created 2 new OCs
-I joined IZFAS and tried to do storyboarding for episodes
School:
-I learned new things
-I hacked new software
-Found out just how hard 3D animation is
-made some friends
Life:
-made a new, local friend
-went to Otakon again and had an awesome time
-played new video games
-got bongo drums
-watched every single episode of the Simpsons
-finished Amnesia: Dark Descent
-got into computer games
-became Portal obsessed
-reread all 7 Harry Potter books; 1 a month until the final movie came out
-went to midnight premiere of final HP movie
-got to see the Muppets in theatres
-got a new laptop
-got a car, lost it in an accident and got another one
-ate more food

Now for 2012! I only hope its even better then this year!

the longer you stop drawing, the worse your art is (at least for me)
I stop drawing for a few months (graphic design and 3D animation doesn’t count) and I’m back to square 1.
I’m now doodling a little each day, but don’t expect to see much for awhile you fellow devs.
And from now on I shall make time to doodle each day.

I bought a new digital camera today, as my 10-year-old HP Photosmart can now only record low-res videos.
I thought maybe by buying a new camera, the Photosmart would ironically work again.
It doesn’t.

Yesterday I worked all day and I work all day today
I barely had time to catch up on some eps of shows, which is why I stayed up so late
I want to draw and write and do artsy stuff as well
I have no time
/watchin series
/just one more ep
/next ep ends on cliffhanger
so last night I came across an old doodle of some kid. Dunno who he is or where he’s supposed to be from (cause in my style nobody looks like they’re from any fandom) and throughout today I developed him into the hero to go against this nameless villain who’s needed a hero to stop him for months now.
Now said villain just needs a name.
I just had a dream that I got on the internet and found that a trailer for a Portal movie had come out overnight.
and it was terrible
The protagonist was this sort of ripped Sam-Worthington-type dude, GLaDOS and Chell were nowhere in sight, and the palette was… it was like the Tooth Fairy, all clean pinks and golds. I only realised it was meant to be a Portal movie when the companion cubes showed up.
Oh, Wheatley was in it, though.
He didn’t talk.
This is why as much as we want a Portal movie we can NOT let Hollywood get their hands on it!
